A Focus on Community: Pacific West Supports Trowbridge Future

At Pacific West, we recently had the privilege of spending time with the community group run by Trowbridge Future for a delicious fish and chips lunch.

This event is a powerful example of an effective community model. The lunch is run on a basis of mutual support: attendees who are able to pay for their meal contribute, effectively covering the cost for others who might be struggling. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone can enjoy good food and, more importantly, the company of others.

Our team had the chance to speak with many of the regulars. The group mainly comprises elderly individuals, many of whom have experienced loss and truly rely on the social connection the charity provides. Several members referred to Trowbridge Future as their “lifeline”, underscoring the vital role the organisation plays in combating loneliness in the area. It was genuinely uplifting to witness the camaraderie and hear first-hand how much they value these gatherings.

Our involvement with Trowbridge Future continues next month. We’re looking forward to dedicating an evening to their youth group, where Rob and I will be helping to facilitate a session on CV writing. Providing practical skills and guidance to young people in the community is a natural extension of our commitment to supporting Trowbridge in a meaningful way.

We appreciate the opportunity to support Trowbridge Future, it’s a rewarding partnership that aligns perfectly with our belief in the power of food and community coming together.
