As part of our ongoing commitment to the local community, Pacific West’s Lois and Amie recently paid a visit to the Community Fridge. The visit was part of our charity partnership with Trowbridge Futures, a brilliant local organisation dedicated to enhancing the lives of the communities of Trowbridge, by supporting the most vulnerable to enable the change they want to see in their lives.
Lois and Amie were delighted with the experience and shared their thoughts on the day:
“It was a really lovely experience. We met new people, brought the community together, and saw first-hand how generous local businesses have been. Everyone was so appreciative of the work being done.”
The Community Fridge helps to reduce food waste by collecting surplus food from local businesses and making it available to anyone who needs it. This vital service not only helps the environment but also provides a lifeline to many families.
Inspired by their visit, the team hopes to encourage others to get involved and support this worthy cause.
“We know we’re all busy,” they added, “but if you’re able to spare even a couple of hours, it really does make such a difference to others.”
